If you live in NYC this might look a little like garbage day. New Yorkers often toss their unwanted furniture into the streets in hopes that it will find a new owner. I, myself am not ashamed to say I have collected many a street find. But what you are looking at here is not garbage, quite the opposite in fact, this is a one off piece by designer Tejo Remy for online store twentieth. Tejo personally collected each drawer leaving them in their natural state, individually numbered each one and bound them with a belt. Tejo says it’s his “protest against the increasing complexity of the design profession.” So how much will you pay for Tejo Remy’s demonstration? For $28,080 you can own his protest piece. I think I will start scavenging the street trash a little harder.
