The good folks at Momeld posted this little gem on their blog today and I thought it was so clever I just had to post it for MUL readers. Niklas is a porcelain sphere you can use in a variety of ways, perfect for the cramped city dweller. Niklas is glazed on the inside, [...]
Can’t you just see me as Snow White lying in this Tree Bed designed by Shawn Lovell, waiting for my true loves kiss? No? OK well how about any one of the Disney Princesses? Well maybe that’s my daydream but I still love the small mystical forest she has created for us to sleep in. [...]
Although the weather was horrible yesterday here in the northeast, the awe-inspiring designs at the Architectural Digest Home Design Show really brightened our mood. We had the opportunity to talk to some very talented designers, enjoyed impressive vignettes featuring furnishings by the chicest design companies and relaxed in the gorgeous show lounge by Ligne Roset.

The lighting designs displayed by Ochre were extraordinary to look at. I particularly enjoyed the Artic Pear lamp displayed here. Each delicate little bulb resembles a sweet little pear while the crisp cool light of the piece gives it its chilling effect.

There were many stylish and hip coffee tables at the show but this one by Lorna Lee John Muller Designs really caught our eye. Hundreds of carefully selected wood pieces perfectly placed make this table a contender in our continuing coffee table search. We don’t care if the New York Times has declared the nature-look [...]
The Paris Apartment, an exhibit by Claudia Strasser was simply gorgeous! Stunning Lucite furniture and the softly muted color scheme felt so dainty and ladylike. Every piece carefully chosen to reflect the Parisian mood by Claudia herself. The display was so beautiful we thought about moving right in!

While at the show yesterday we had the pleasure of meeting very talented artist and fellow blogger Amy Leonard. Displaying her assemblage pieces as part of “The Paris Apartment”exhibit we were delighted to not only to peek at her eclectic and ethereal bell jars but to also have a chat with her about the experiences [...]
Nori Morimoto had so many dreamy lamps and light fixtures at the show, we could have spent our whole visit in his exhibit mesmerized by his brilliant craftsmanship. I wish I had more photos to share with you because his designs were really quite impressive but alas the pictures we took just didn’t come out [...]

I wrote yesterday about Tejo Remy’s Stacked Drawer piece than wouldn’t you know it, I came across almost the exact same look except with boxes. From U.K. online shop DO this shelving unit is called Assemblage and comes with 10 boxes with vintage print to stack as you please. The boxes can be used individually [...]
I don’t have a lot of info on this curtain since the website is in Dutch and my Dutch is no better than my German but I had to share this anyway. The curtain you are looking at is lovely, yes but what makes it truly interesting is the design is made using numbers and letters. [...]
If you live in NYC this might look a little like garbage day. New Yorkers often toss their unwanted furniture into the streets in hopes that it will find a new owner. I, myself am not ashamed to say I have collected many a street find. But what you are looking at here is not garbage, [...]

Loyal reader Dan K. in New York forwarded me this link a few days ago. Check out these sushi pillows! Ok honestly, I don’t think they are my taste (no pun intended) but they could be cute in a family or media room. The designers of these pillows are actually actors who toured with the Broadway show, Miss [...]
