I like to read a design blog by a fun creative Los Angeles couple, Lars and Kat called Katize. As I was perusing the site last night, I saw this table posted by Lars (who also hosts a sweet house show on XM radio) and I had to share it with you. I reside in New York City and I know what you are thinking, “Tracy buy this, New York is dangerous girl!”. But I live in a relatively safe neighborhood and feel, for the most part, fairly secure. However, I would be lying if I didn’t admit that I sometimes let my morbid little mind wander into the worst case scenario forest. I would like to think I would get all bad ass and pull some serious Uma Therman kicks and give those intruders ass whoopin they would never forget. Unfortunately, the realistic side of me (the buzz killer, I like to call her) chimes in that I’m really a big wuss and would probably try squeezing my out of shape butt underneath the bed. But, for those of you who want to give hand to hand combat a try check out this safe bedside table by designer James McAdam. When not holding your nightly cup of water the table becomes a shield and bat, giving you the weapons you need to fight the forces of evil.
Tracy, thank you so much for the kind words about Katize and Deeper Shades of House. Lars and I are really flattered. I totally dig this blog…so much so that I’m adding you to our blogroll.
You have excellent taste!!
(btw.. Lars is playing in NYC on May 9th at NueBlu. All the info is on his site. )
