I had the pleasure of meeting Brooklyn designer Lindsey Adelman at this year’s International Contemporary Furniture Fair. I had seen her Birds+Bees table lights at the Architectural Digest show a few months back and was very excited to see her latest design the Bubble Chandelier at the ICFF show. The Chandelier is gorgeous, nine murrine glass globes clustered together and [...]
Turkish design group ünal & böler have created a table that will keep your coffee-table neat and tidy. The table is called Kase, Turkish for bowl, which is fitting since the table’s middle is actually a set of five bowls, one inside the other. The outer bowls are perfect for holding books and magazines, while the inner bowl can [...]
I’ve managed to accumulate three huge trash bags full of clothes during my spring cleaning this year. To be honest they are still sitting in my living room till I can garner enough strength to haul them over to the charity shop. But I might just hang on to them if I can get my hands on the Fill [...]
My allergies have been driving me nuts. I’m sure I have destroyed a small forest with the amount of tissues I’ve used in the last couple days. All this sneezing reminded me of Marcel Wanders nasal inspired project, the Airborne Snotty Vases. You may remember Marcel from our review of the Tracy tray. His Snotty Vases however, are a far cry from [...]
My super fun friend Rich, the voice of Green Radio, and I were out to dinner a couple of weeks ago and he turned me on to a hot new product called Clinqs. It’s summer time folks, that means parties and you can’t have a party without a tasty beverage. But at some point in the evening, I always lose track [...]
I love the irony of this product by designer Jimmyjane. I am not going to go into too much detail here, as my attempts to keep MUL PG-13 have been failing miserably as of late, however I will tell you these are limited editions. Described as “sleek, silent and waterproof”, the Fu*k Design Vibrator is engraved with useful instructions and comes in [...]
It seems as if Ateleir Van Lieshout designed their Deprivation Skull to get you out of your own head by encouraging you to spend time in theirs. The design group is the creative brainchild of Joep van Lieshout, best known for his colorful polyester sculptures and gigantic reproductions of human internal organs. The simplicity of his works reflects his [...]
I don’t know what is harder to believe that they exist or that someone actually buys these. After the popularity of the Fake Bonsai we posted a few days ago, I decided to check out a bonsai for my own home and I ran across this website-Bonsai Crash. The company recreates mini realistic car crashes for your bonsai tree. Artist John Rooney takes model [...]
It was a lot of fun meeting the woman of Ferm Living at ICFF. And while we have featured Ferm Living’s wallpaper in the past, it’s their new Kitchen Fashions we’ve patiently been waiting for. We are digging their acrylic table clothes with their signature Danish designs. You can check out more of their new kitchen fashions [...]
While perusing one of my favorite online stores Rose and Radish I stumbled across this darling porcelain bowl by designer Helle Jongerius. A delicately embellished snail creeps across this porcelain bowl as if to remind us food is beautiful and should be enjoyed, slowly.
I know snails are not everyone cup of tea but it did [...]
It’s all about toilets today folks.Perhaps it’s because I have been reading my frogger (friend blogger) Fritz’s Toilet Scribble blog too much, but I have been giving a lot of thought to the commode lately! I have trying to figure out ways I can be more environmentally conscience around my home. One step I took [...]
My toilet has been running water constantly for two weeks. Not only is it wasteful, it’s also annoying. And since my super is always missing in action, I decided to see if I could fix it myself. Guess what? It wasn’t as hard as I thought it would be. So as part of MUL’s monthly home repair series, I [...]
My friend buys a new bonsai plant at least twice a year. He does not own, what one would call a green thumb and inevitably he ends up killing the noble little plant. Never a quitter he tries and tries, hoping one day to master the art of bonsai. If you too are a bonsai killer, why [...]
I love these wall straps by design group NL Architects. Simply screw the elastic straps into the wall and tuck whatever you need to hold inside.

Italian furniture distributor Moroso debuted designer Tokujiin Yoshioka latest innovative chair design, “Bouquet” at the International Furniture Fair last weekend. Beautifully crafted, each delicately colored “petal” is hand-folded and sewn on to the egg shaped base, giving this chair the appearance of being in full bloom.
