Everyone is thinking green these days (reduce, reuse, recycle) and I have begun to have a special appreciation for people who reuse to the extreme. So for all you goth loving, connoisseurs of the creepy you’re going to die over this next post. CoffinCouches.com is doing their part for the environment by recycling used coffins into comfy couches. Now I know what your thinking, “where’s the guy that used to be in it?” but no worries these coffins were never used for the dearly departed, rather they were floor samples used in funeral homes. According to California State Law funeral homes cannot resell used coffins to the general public (probably put into effect for a good reason) needless to say many of these coffins are just thrown away. Along came Coffin Couches with a clever idea to give these coffins a second life. With a redesign , some swank upholstery and strong steel legs these coffins become sofas Marilyn Manson would be proud to own. It’s not just goth furniture mind you, these coffin couches look so burlesque and sexy you might be tempted to overlook their past life. This coffin couch model is called the Pink Panther, meow! Kudos to CoffinCouches.com for taking recycling to the next step- the hereafter.
Another pic….
Swanky!
This is the ULTIMATE in conservationist furniture. You can actually LIVE and DIE in it! Cradle to cradle baby!
Um, doesn’t he mean “Cradle to Grave”?
Hey Greenpointer Your right this is definitely a good example of conservation. I was excited to learn products we probably never think about are getting a second life. Thanks for reading and stay tuned for more green products in the future.
