My friends Bryan and Shannon are expecting their first child this summer and like me, Shannon loves the look and feel of modern furniture. So she is having a hard time resigning herself to fact that soon her home is going to resemble a drab daycare center. Of course there are many cute modern furnishings out there for the mod mom but they’re pricey and let’s face it a crib is not exactly an investment piece. So to help my good friends, I have been researching alternatives to their problem. Introducing the Green Lullaby Cradle found on online store Rose and Radish and designed by Ruth Keenan. It’s inexpensive, functional and environmentally friendly! Made of flame retardant cardboard, it’s easy to assemble and can hold an infant up to 3 months. Save the money you would spend on an overpriced bassinet and invest in their college fund.
Update: Bryan and Shannon now have a baby girl they have named Fredrica. Welcome Freddie!
fantastic. where do I get them in South Africa?
Love it! It’s still just about as pricey as a bassinet, though.
Hey Sean, Not sure where you could find the cradle in South Africa however I found this item on the online store Rose and Radish. Perhaps they would ship this to you internationally. Click the link above to reach their site. Thanks so much for reading MUL!
Hey Bellah, Yea it’s pretty cool isn’t it? Your right you probably could find a bassinet for less than this but I think my friend was looking for a more modern cradle which tend to be pretty pricey. Thanks so much for your compliment and stop by MUL anytime. :>
