It’s all about toilets today folks.Perhaps it’s because I have been reading my frogger (friend blogger) Fritz’s Toilet Scribble blog too much, but I have been giving a lot of thought to the commode lately! I have trying to figure out ways I can be more environmentally conscience around my home. One step I took is to finally repair my running toilet (check out the repair project below) but if I wanted to go even a step further, I could invest in one of these new Toilet Lid Sinks I found on greenUpgrader. I know what your thinking and no, you are not washing your hands with toilet water. The water is actually drawn from an entirely different water source like the one from your sink so the water you use to wash your hands with is clean. The used water travels down into the toilet bowl where it can be reused to flush your toilet. Pretty clever when you think about it. Ok, maybe it’s not for everyone but if your concerned about the environment and want to do your part, consider purchasing one of these lids. A bargain at $89, the lid requires no tools to install, is a great space saving option and a feel good home project.

Tracy,
Thank you for thinking about me and about commodes at the same time. It makes my heart swell with pride.
