Chariot Chair from Jean Paul Gaultier

I’m too young to remember Ben Hur.  I know it won 12 Academy Awards and it’s revered as one of the greatest epic history movies of all time. But I’m gonna be honest here, I’ve never seen it. I could give a Cliff note account, if i had too. I’ve never had too. One thing I do know about the movie, studs in loin cloths cruise around in chariots-a lot.

The chariot symbolizes manly pursuits, perhaps that is why Jean Paul Gaultier  loves chose this symbol of masculinity for his foray into furniture design. Created for Roche Bobois’ 50th anniversary celebration, the Chariot Chair has an aluminum frame and features velvet upholstery in four fabulous colors. But what I want is, can I ride it?
