I’ve battled a serious case of ‘green’ withdrawal lately. It’s no wonder, it seems like we’ve waited forever for spring like weather to arrive in New York City. To help lift my spirits, I’ve been browsing the gardening aisles of Home Depot, looking at all the luscious green houseplants, and it somehow makes me feel hopeful that summer will soon be here. But recently, I found myself seeking respite in the outdoor furniture department of a local big box stores. I love living in the city, but sometimes wish I had more room for all the cool patio furniture I see displayed. I guess us urbanites have to settle with bringing the outdoors, indoors. Chaircouture has redesigned a pair of gorgeous 1900 French bergères armchairs to do just that. At first glance they look like they are covered in Astroturf, and that would be cool, but very itchy. But looks can be deceiving, because the chairs are actually upholstered with one of a kind fabric designed to look like grass. Unique furniture covered in grass is just what I need while I wait for spring to finally arrive. Now, how many days till summer?
