Prison Ware.

Although this little “vase” seems simple and sweet, we can’t help but think it looks like something one would make while serving time in prison. Hey, maybe that could be a new niche? Prison goods! With all that time on their hands they must come up with lots of clever items, don’t you think? We’re [...]

The Plamp.

The Plamp from designer Piotr Woronkowicz utilizes vertical space by providing a hanging lamp which is also a vase. The ”roots” on the Plamp are a very sweet touch and we like it’s slim design. Your flowers do double duty as they cast shadows on the wall when the Plamp is lit.

The Nook of Love.

This Nook Lounger by designer Phillippe Malouin reminds me of a cozy nest I’d like to crawl into and take a nap.  Using the same techniques one would use to crochet, Phillipe Malouin uses his arms as giant crochet hooks to weave his comfy lounger. The “yarn” is created by filling hollow cotton tubes with recycled fibers.  His website shows a quick video of [...]

Bubble Chandeliers.

I had the pleasure of meeting Brooklyn designer Lindsey Adelman at this year’s International Contemporary Furniture Fair.
