Loving Fab.com!

Fab.com logo

I’m really loving Fab.com, the carefully curated online design store that features daily deals on unique designs for it’s membership community. Not only does it provide significant discounts on design products most of us cant’ afford, but they also shine a spotlight on small designers who do not have the resources to gain international recognition. OK that’s my unsolicited plug for Fab.com, now let me tell you why I really dig them! As a blogger, it’s time consuming to comb though all of the press releases and designer submissions I receive on a daily basis. Searching for that one product that really gets my blogger blood pumping can be exhausting.  But the curators at Fab.com do such an awesome job at selecting  small design companies to feature, it has become my first stop in my morning hunt for new content to feature on MUL. While it’s not my only resource, I do find a lot of new stuff that I can’t wait to write about.  I encourage you to check them out. I guarantee you’ll be loving Fab.com too!

Wine Glasses Make Dinner More Entertaining

I was always so impressed with people who can ‘play’ wine glasses. I’ve never been able to do it. Luckily, no talent is needed to make these wine glasses sing. Simply fill to desired note level and rub away! Only down side is they’re sold in pairs, so you’ll have to get several to play a proper tune.

Spanish Artist Takes Everyday Items and Makes Them Larger Than Life

I think the only thing I like more than miniature things is larger than life items! Spanish artist Rómulo Celdrán has taken everyday items and made them oversized to draw attention to those everyday objects we take for granted. I’ve always wanted to take a road trip across America and visit all of those ‘World’s Largest’ sites. Full Story »

Walking Table by Wouter Scheublin

I’m not crazy about spiders, but I am crazy about well designed tables! This “Walking Table” designed by Wouter Scheublin moves across the room like a spider crawling on your leg. The eight table legs are designed in such a way that when you push the table to move it, the legs pick up and walk the table! Its pretty crazy to watch. The amazing thing is that the table stays level the whole time, so you can walk your dinner table right from the dining room to the living room to catch your favorite tv show without disturbing a thing.

Mysterious Witley Park

This may be one of the coolest things I have seen in a long time. It’s like something out of a James Bond movie. This dome is covered in algae because it is underwater. The only way to access it is to enter a mansion. You must find a secret wooden door that leads you down some steps where you  row a boat through an underground corridor before reaching two large doors that open into this enormous domed room under a lake. Did you get all of that?
